Join Catholic Health Professionals of Houston for our annual White Mass. All healthcare providers will receive a special blessing from our celebrant, Rev. Lawrence Jozwiak. Following mass, we will host a catered reception across the street at the Cathedral Centre. Our speaker this year is Dr. Michael Brescia, MD.
“The Nature and Treatment of Human Suffering”
Dr. Brescia is Senior Vice-President and Executive Medical Director of Calvary Hospital in Bronx, New York. He is internationally famous for the invention of the AV Fistula which has saved the lives of many with renal disease. While at the peak of his career in organ transplantation and in response to euthanasia and assisted suicide, he surrendered economic fortunes to develop and create a hospital exclusively devoted to terminal cancer patients. Dr. Brescia has played an integral role in establishing the pioneering and unparalleled care for patients at the end of life
